STEP 2: Care for the plants

STEP 1: Sowing

  •  Soil – Use loose, well-draining soil enriched with compost or organic matter for better growth and fruit quality.
  • Soaking – Soak seeds in water for 4–6 hours, then wrap them in a damp cloth for 3–5 days until sprouted.
  • Planting – Sow seeds 1–2 cm deep, spacing plants 20–30 cm apart. For multiple rows, maintain 50–70 cm between rows for optimal growth.
  • Water regularly to keep the soil moist but not soggy, ensuring steady growth of cucumbers.
  • Apply organic or balanced fertilizer every 2–3 weeks to promote healthy vines and abundant fruiting.
  • Place the plants in a sunny location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for best growth and fruit production.
